District Partner 2011-present

In September of 2011 ERS launched a partnership with Newark Public Schools to complete a resource map of the district to examine how they currently use resources to support student learning goals. Newark public schools serve about 40,000 students in 75 schools. This engagement will run into September 2012.

Work Focus

The resource map will explore questions such as:

• How are NPS currently using their people, time, and money, and does it align with the district’s vision for students?
• How do NPS’ strategies compare to other urban districts?
• What opportunities does NPS have to reallocate resources to more effectively improve student achievement?
