ERS has partnered with Baltimore City Public Schools (BCPS) on a number of projects since 2004 to assess district data and practice and to support strategic decision-making in the areas of teacher professional development (PD), school funding redesign, transition to Fair Student Funding and in redesigning central office support of schools.
ERS has partnered with Boston Public Schools (BPS) in various capacities for over a decade covering several areas including supporting the district in professional development (PD), comprehensive resource mapping and analysis, and targeting assistance around building a district-wide strategy for turnaround schools.
ERS has partnered with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) to analyze the effectiveness and equity of school-level resource use and to help the district advance its 2014 strategic plan.
ERS has partnered with Chicago Public Schools (CPS) to strengthen its professional development (PD) program to improve literacy instruction, to analyze CPS and school resource use, and to help identify strategies to improve the outcomes of CPS high school students.
ERS has partnered with Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) to conduct a comprehensive review of the district’s professional development (PD), monitor its progress in achieving its PD goals, analyze and support its PD planning process and implementation of weighted student funding.
ERS has partnered with the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) to analyze the allocation of resources and to help the district use the findings of the analysis to improve student performance.
In July 2010 ERS launched a partnership with Duval County Public Schools to complete a Resource Map of the district, examining how they currently use their resources to support their student learning goals. Located in the Jacksonville, Florida area, Duval County serves 123,000 students in over 160 schools. This engagement will run into September 2011.
ERS has partnered with Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) to build leadership capacity in budgeting, to redesign middle schools, and to analyze the budget to support effective resource allocation.
ERS partnered with the New York City School District (NYCSD) to inform the district’s efforts to rethink the role of Human Resources (HR) in supporting a comprehensive professional development (PD) system.
ERS partnered with Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) in 2007 to do a high level analysis of the district’s resource use and highlight opportunities for reallocation to improve student learning.
In the spring of 2010, ERS launched a partnership with Prince George’s County Public Schools, an urban district just outside of Washington DC that serves over 121,000 students in almost 200 schools. In the fall of 2010, ERS will work with the district to create a resource map that will help district leaders examine how they are currently using their resources and where they might rethink practices and policies to reallocate in a way that better supports student learning. Funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, this partnership will run until September 2011.
ERS partnered with Providence Public Schools (PPS) to analyze the district’s budget, to assess current spending and school-level equity, and to identify opportunities to use resources to improve instruction.
ERS has partnered with Rochester to help meet the ambitious student outcome goals first defined by its Blue Ribbon Panel in 2004.
ERS partnered with Sacramento City Unified School District (SCUSD) for two months in the fall of 2009 to give the new superintendent a sense of the resource landscape in his new district.

ERS partnered with St. Paul Public Schools (SPPS) to deepen the district’s understanding of its current school system spending.
In January 2010 ERS partnered with the Say Yes to Education Foundation to examine current resource use and identify ways it can reallocate funds to support the district’s priorities.
