Sam specializes in mapping district resources and helping districts understand how their resource allocation strategies align with their overarching student goals. Since joining ERS in 2010, Sam has worked with Boston, Rochester, and Prince George’s County.
Prior to ERS, Sam worked at Bain Capital where she was a member of their credit group, Sankaty Advisors. Sam focused on collateralized loan obligations, debt restructuring, credit derivatives and currency hedging. She also served as a credit analyst at Middlesex Savings Bank where she was responsible for performing due diligence and analyzing new investment opportunities.
Sam enjoys spending time outdoors, playing tennis, and anything that involves Cape Cod. She also likes to cook and spend time with family and friends. She has done a lot of work with Big Sister of Greater Boston and served as an elementary school mentor. One day Sam hopes to run for a school board position in the Boston-Metro area.
