ERS Team Member

Kristan Singleton

Manager, Tools and Technologies

617.607.8956

As the lead of the technologies team, Kristan spends his time listening to the good ideas that emerge from the work of our district’s teams. He then finds ways to turn those ideas into software tools that help us achieve greater efficiencies and ever-higher precision in our work, allowing both ERS and our partners to gain new insights into creating high-performing urban school systems.

Before coming to ERS, Kristan was the Director of Technology Initiatives at the Boston Plan for Excellence in the Public Schools (BPE). Here, Kristan supported Boston’s whole-school improvement initiatives by partnering with the district on the design of its web-based data analysis system, spearheading the development and implementation of formative assessments and companion assessment data analysis tools, designing Microsoft Access-based applications to analyze student formative and summative assessment data, and building knowledge management systems. Prior to BPE, Kristan was a Change Management Consultant at Andersen Consulting.

Kristan spends his early mornings swimming at the local gym. He and his wife often hike in the New England area and are always looking for fun things to do with their two children outdoors. Kristan enjoys jazz music and hip hop and especially the places where they meet. He is a former board member of the Boston-based Caring for Carcinoid Foundation and remains an active participant in the search for a cure for this rare form of cancer.
