Anna Sommers

Anna is our Communications Associate here at ERS. Her main priority is to share and disseminate ERS research, client work, and tools with district leaders, policy makers, funders, and the educational community.
Prior to ERS, Anna worked as a Management Consultant at Bain & Company in Boston, where she helped a group of business leaders establish a pilot elementary school in Chicago. Independently, she has worked with school districts on strategic planning, school-based management, comparative resource use, and teacher professional development. She also has experience as Director of Marketing for a sporting goods company.
Outside of the office, Anna has served as President and Board Member of the Wayland Public Schools Foundation, and has coached town youth soccer and lacrosse. She lives in Wayland with her husband and four children, frequently attending their school and sporting events. She enjoys biking and rides annually in the Pan-Mass Challenge, raising funds for the Jimmy Fund and Dana Farber Cancer Institute. She also enjoys cross country skiing (when there’s snow), yoga, and reading.
