ERS Team Member

Allison Daskal Hausman

Manager, Communications

617.600.4619

Allison is responsible for communications, media relations, and marketing our materials. This includes maintaining the ERS website, producing publications, and promoting our research and ideas. Allison also develops and measures the impact of our communication strategy to ensure ERS is reaching the right people, with the right message, at the right time.

Prior to joining ERS, Allison served as Principal of Daskal Communications specializing in multimedia production where she worked primarily with nonprofit organizations to develop video productions to illustrate their work and convey key messages for their websites and events. Prior to this, Allison served as Co-director of Communications at Education Development Center (EDC) where she directed print, web, and media communications for EDC’s education and health programs. She also led communications efforts at Jobs for the Future and WGBH, Boston. Allison was the founder and CEO of Small World Productions, an educational video company that produced and distributed a nationally-acclaimed wildlife video for children.

Outside of work Allison likes to bike, garden, cook, practice yoga, and enjoys being with her husband and her three teenage daughters (if they happen to be around). If the children aren’t around, there’s always her dog, Clarkie and her two cats, Tarzan and Timmy. She volunteers at Family Table, Boston’s Kosher food bank, and is on the board of Congregation Dorshei Tzedek.
